Ephemeral Industries

2 notes

Possibly the best TV cartoon in the English language, especially for anyone old enough to remember ’70s cop shows. In addition to this terrific opening it had great characters, clever writing, title narration by Don LaFontaine, and just about every classic police story trope you can imagine adapted to a middle school setting.

Sadly not available on DVD, but it can still be seen some times on the Disney XD cable channel.

Fun fact: All of the regular characters were named after streets of San Francisco — yet another homage to police dramas of the ’70s.

Finally — speaking as a former safety patrol captain, I’d love a “SUPPORT THE SASH” coffee mug.
